Cookie Policy
This page explains, in technical terms, what cookies and similar storage technologies this website uses, why, and how you can manage them. It is intended to comply with Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications, as amended to implement the ePrivacy rules in the Czech Republic, alongside the GDPR.
What a cookie actually is
A Cookie is a small text file placed on your device by your browser when you visit a website.Cookie: a small piece of data stored by a web browser at the request of a website, later sent back to that website on subsequent visits to maintain state or preferences. Cookies cannot run programs or carry viruses, and they cannot access other files on your device.
Session versus persistent storage
Some cookies used here are Session Cookies.Session Cookie: a temporary cookie that is deleted automatically once you close your browser. Others are Persistent Cookies.Persistent Cookie: a cookie that remains stored on your device for a defined period, or until manually deleted, so your preference survives between visits. Our consent preference cookie is persistent, so you are not asked again on every visit.
First-party and third-party distinctions
A First-Party Cookie is set directly by this website's own domain.First-Party Cookie: a cookie set by the domain shown in your browser's address bar, in this case yohewa.info. A Third-Party Cookie is set by a different domain than the one you are visiting, typically used by embedded services such as analytics providers or map widgets.Third-Party Cookie: a cookie set by a domain other than the one displayed in the browser's address bar, often associated with embedded content or trackers. The map embed on our contact page may set third-party cookies belonging to the map provider once loaded.
Local storage, briefly
Separately from cookies, this site may use Local Storage in your browser to remember interface preferences.Local Storage: a browser storage mechanism similar to cookies but generally larger in capacity and not automatically transmitted with every request to the server. This is used sparingly, mainly for interface state rather than tracking.
Categories used on this site
Necessary cookies support core site functions such as page navigation and cannot be switched off. Functional cookies remember your cookie consent choice itself. Analytics cookies, if enabled, help understand which pages are visited and how, in aggregate. Marketing cookies, if enabled, would relate to measuring the relevance of any advertising, though this site does not currently run active advertising campaigns dependent on them.
Managing your preferences
You can open the cookie preference panel at any time using the shield icon in the bottom right corner of any page on this site. From there you can accept all categories, reject all non-essential categories, or select individual categories. You can also clear cookies directly through your browser settings, which will reset your preference and prompt the panel again on your next visit.
